THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Game Commission, Chief Counsel’s Office is looking for a charismatic Paralegal to assist with real estate acquisitions. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Paralegal, you will perform a variety of legal services for the settlement of real estate acquisitions and exchanges, along with all associated documentation and filing. This includes conducting titles searches and real property research in addition to courthouse work, field work, and personal interviews with landowners and commission personnel. You will also prepare reports and other drafts of legal proceedings for review by Chief Counsel, process payment and tax exemption documentation, assist callers who are seeking information regarding State Game Lands, and have the opportunity to assist in the completion of special projects.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Four years of experience as a Legal Assistant 2; or
- Certification as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant (CP/CLA) by The National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA); or certification as a Registered Paralegal (RP) by The National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA); or advanced certification for legal professionals (PLS) by NALS, The Association for Legal Professionals; and two years performing legal support work; or
- Completion of an associate’s degree or post baccalaureate certificate in legal, paralegal or legal assistant studies or other related field, and two years performing legal support work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
