This position involves assisting in providing employment and skills development opportunities to inmates within a state correctional facility. You will conduct face-to-face interviews with inmates to discuss job assignments, review employment opportunities, and facilitate vocational training.
Additionally, you will review reports and recommendations from various facility personnel to assess inmates' suitability for employment, interact with treatment staff to evaluate inmates' physical and psychological conditions, and provide information on job opportunities and performance to the facility's support team.
Your responsibilities may also include overseeing clerical support staff and performing assigned duties independently under the supervision of a Corrections Employment and Vocational Coordinator. This role requires interacting with inmates, facility staff, and various professionals to support inmates' vocational and technical training and employment opportunities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,890.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
