Under the general supervision of the Bureau Director, the Deputy Director will manage the day-to-day operations of the Bureau by directing the workflow of the Bureau units. The Deputy Director supervisors two chief positions and special project staff ensuring workforce projects remain on track, coordinates with internal and external partners, supports and manages the operations of the bureau and ensures proper oversight of workforce funding.
The Employment Security Executive 2 duties will include: Coordinates and provides technical assistance with partners (to include Comptroller's Office, OIT, other state agencies, other program offices within L&I, Bureau of Financial Management, Fiscal Agents, grantees, vendors, etc.) to ensure fully integrated and seamless delivery of administrative services under all workforce funding. Coordinates and communicates with partners to ensure fully integrated and seamless delivery of workforce plans, policies, projects, and processes.
Ensures the proper administration of grants, the timely disbursement and reporting of funds, developing policies and procedures to maximize the efficiency of federal/state funds to carry-out workforce development programs across the Commonwealth, and ensures proper oversight of workforce funding to include the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Trade Adjustment Assistance Act, Wagner Peyser, Foreign Labor Certification, Work Opportunity and Tax Credit, Jobs for Veterans State Grant and other state and federal programs.
Performs the full range of managerial and supervisory duties. To ensure the effective operations of the bureau by directing the workflow of staff to also include resolving labor management and personnel issues. Reports all substantial or potential findings, issues, and/or concerns to the Director and other leadership in accurate and timely fashion.

- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time, up to 3 days a week. However you will be required to be in office for predetermined in person Bureau/Unit meetings or trainings and other reasons as operationally necessary. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Employment Security Executive l; or
- Seven years of responsible administrative or staff experience including four years in a public employment security agency in the employment service area, or a closely related program within or outside government and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which
provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
