Are you interested in being part of a great team of public health professionals, working in a fast-paced office? If so the Department of Health is looking for a candidate like you!As an Executive Secretary, you will be responsible for the everyday dynamics of managing the Physician General’s schedule and office needs. This includes, but is not limited to scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and making travel arrangements. This role is responsible for working appropriately with the Agency head, Legislative Affairs Office, Policy Office, and the Chief Council's Office of not only the Department of Health but other agencies as well. In this role you will be working independently but also in a team dynamic with the other members of the executive staff. You will need to be comfortable with all Microsoft products in this position.

Work Hours and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours:  8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday; 1 hour lunch.
  • You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time up to 2 days a week.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of progressively responsible experience in secretarial work.  Appropriate formal post high school secretarial training may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
