Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications:The Assessment Coordinator will collaborate with and assist teaching and administrative faculty in the development and execution of general education assessment and university assessment plans and reports. In doing so, the Assessment Coordinator will demonstrate institutional commitment to maintaining and continuously improving the assessment experience. Other responsibilities include supporting cooperation among academic units to ensure general education planning and assessment activities are thorough, research-appropriate, and timely with respect to the established assessment intervals, participating in original data collections generated through various measurement strategies, and analyzing and disseminates collected data to teaching and administrative faculty.
Master’s degree in social science, education, business or related area
- Working knowledge of assessment
- Working knowledge of rubric, test, and survey development
- Considerable skills with spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software applications
- Effective communication, leadership and collaboration skills while working with faculty members in general education and assessment practices.
- Attention to detail; professionalism while working with others
- Considerable experience managing Microsoft desktop applications (e.g. Excel, MS Access, Word, PowerPoint)
- Some experience providing data support and analysis to a variety of audiences
- Some experience managing data and generating reports
- Some experience collaborating and working as a member of a team to reach common goals.
- Working knowledge of assessment management software and web development software preferred
- Working knowledge of the principles of accreditation and data requirements preferred
- Working knowledge of applied research design and statistics preferred
- Some teaching or training skills preferred
- Some experience working in an academic context with faculty and administrators preferred
- Some experience in an SCT Banner environment preferred
- Some experience managing data with statistical packages/programming languages (e.g., SAS, SPSS) preferred
