The Opportunity:
The Cook position at Communal is a reliable team member who supports the team by ensuring the kitchen area stays clean and tidy, keeping up with service demands and delivering food to guests. As a Cook, you will prep food, complete food tickets with an eye for quality, deliver food items to guests and assist with daily kitchen tasks. This position supports the entire team with their hard work, sense of urgency and positivity. You are the ideal candidate if you thrive on a team, appreciate an upbeat environment and enjoy being surrounded by quality products.

Requirements:
At least two year of experience as a cook (preferred.)
Possess a current food handlers card valid for work location.
A strong background and emphasis on customer service.
Able to work in a high volume environment.
Located in Oceanside/San Diego.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to carry objects up to 50 pounds.
Job requires long hours on your feet.
Repeated motions with hands and wrists (i.e. chopping, stirring).
Job requires the use of sharp kitchen utensils and equipment.
Speak and read food order tickets written in English.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. The pay for this position starts at $16.50 per hour depending on experience and share of tip pool. Benefits include sick time, free drinks, discounts, simple IRA for eligible employees. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) Oceanside.
