System Performance Engineer I (Entry Level)

We have an entry level opening for a Systems Performance Engineer I. This position will work closely with our Systems Performance Engineer II, a background in DAS and/or RF is preferred but not required.

System Performance Engineer I

This entry level position which will receive on the job training, will be paired with our System Performance Engineer. On-site activity will include; Benchmark Data Collection. Post Deployment Data Collection, Commissioning Activity, and Basic Troubleshooting. There will be heavy emphasis on rapid learning and assessment of skills so that the individual can be sent off to remote locations and trusted to complete a project on their own.

Responsible for:

• Repeater Commissioning and Optimization
• DAS Commissioning & Optimization
• Performing Site Surveys
• BM and Post Installation Data Collection
• Troubleshooting Basic Systems

In this role you will develop a deep understanding of wireless technologies GSM, CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, LTE, WiFi and DAS OEM toplogies including but not limited to, Corning MobileAccess, Commscope, Solid, TE, Teko, Dali, Zinwave, ADRF, and CSI.

The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of standard test equipment including, but not limited to, Spectrum Analyzers, OTDRs, VFL, Power Meters, Transmitters, and Scanning Receivers.

Any understanding or exposure to RF math in any application is a strong indicator of success in this role. 

Experience: 

• Basic Knowledge of Computers
• 1 year in a wireless or other technology related field preferred.

Education:

• High school 2 Years Technical or equivalent
• Working towards a degree

• Computer: Basic Understanding of MS Word, Excel, Projects & Outlook
