Salary Range:    $18.48 - $23.97 Hourly
Travel Percentage:    Up to 25%

Rehab Specialist

Under the guidance of the Lead Abatement Supervisor, perform housing rehabilitation activities in order to remediate lead hazards in housing units in Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties.

1.    Acquire and maintain knowledge of, and comply with, required standards, guidelines, federal/state regulations and objectives of all programs within area of responsibility.

2.    Perform all duties associated with new construction, rehabilitation and/or energy efficiency techniques for projects, as assigned.

3.    Assist in ensuring cost-effective and timely completion of all projects.

4.    Responsible for the assurance of quality workmanship.

5.    Responsible for maintaining project schedules, and assisting in the maintenance of quality control checks and measures.

6.    Comply with safety regulations.

7.    Maintain assigned tools and ensure vehicles and job sites are clean and organized.

8.    Must maintain positive conduct during working hours and excellent public relations with customers and the community-at-large.

9.    Attend and participate in trainings, conferences, and other related agency functions, as requested.

10.  Maintain security and confidentiality of client and agency information and records.

11.    Comply with agency policies, procedures, Personnel Policies and Administrative Instructions.

12.   Perform all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.


 

Essential Qualifications


1.    High School diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
2.    Experience in the area of new home construction, rehabilitation and/or energy efficiency techniques required.
3.    Lead-Based Paint Certification preferred; ability to obtain is required.
4.    Must possess ability to physically perform job assignments, including, but not limited to, accessing attics and crawl spaces, climbing onto roofs, and lifting required equipment.  
5.    Ability to attend trainings required.
6.    Excellent communication skills required.
7.    Must possess a valid driver’s license.
8.     Must successfully pass all agency-required background checks
