Community Attributes Inc. (CAI) helps clients make informed decisions and evaluate results utilizing demographics, economic and financial data, geographic information systems (GIS), and other evidence-based methods. We apply our expertise across multiple disciplines, with a particular focus on regional economics; land use economics; community and economic development; surveys, market research and evaluation; data analysis and business intelligence; and information design. CAI is seeking to grow our team with a strong technical leader and project manager. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about economics and planning and meet the following criteria presented below.
Position: Project Manager
The preferred candidates for both roles will bring the following credentials:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, urban planning, real estate economics, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred for Lead role).
- Consulting experience in economic analysis, financial analysis, urban planning, or real estate (5 years experience preferred).
Technical skills and expertise required:
- Strong skills in all or most of the following:
- Economic and financial analysis and spreadsheet modeling
- Socio-economic data acquisition, management and analysis
- Quantitative methods, or
- Planning policy and real estate economics
- Microsoft Office Suite, including great proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity and experience with local, regional, and national data sources in demographics, economics, and planning.
- Expertise in regional economics, labor economics, land use, transportation and related concerns (can specialize among these fields). Expertise in data and their sources that serve these fields.
- Experience using one or more of the following is a plus:
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Tableau, PowerBI or comparable
- Advanced statistical packages, such as R
- Adobe Creative Suite
Project Leader – Role Specific Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in proactive and positive client management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members, foster collaboration, and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Experience in project management, including planning, organizing, and executing projects from inception to completion, while managing resources and timelines effectively
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across government, business, academia, and community sectors, fostering collaboration and consensus-building.
A willingness to learn and assist in all aspects of a small and growing firm is also required for both roles. Expected Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000, depending on experience, plus a complete benefits package.
Location: The Economics/Planning Analyst will be based out of one of our offices located in Seattle, WA, Memphis, TN, or Denver, CO.
