Position Overview:
As the Web Designer, you will be responsible for website content and maintenance as well as management of all graphic design. Typical projects include, but are not limited to, website and mobile asset design, graphic design, brand book/ style guide, static and animated images and video, digital and print ads, and email marketing design.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and design website content and produce other graphic design deliverables
- Perform various web development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Contribute to the UI/UX design process, including wireframing and usability review
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Troubleshoot site display issues, including CSS and JavaScript errors
- Work with subject matter experts to publish web content using WordPress
- Conceptualize, design, layout and produce compelling on-brand, on-strategy creative content for website and marketing collateral: programs, signage, ads, emails, social media posts, blogs, newsletters, infographics, research reports, and other publications
- Design logos and create a branding style guide with templates for presentations, internal and external documents, brochures and other promotional materials
- Conceptualize, design, layout and produce compelling on-brand, on-strategy creative content for web and social media
- Additional duties as requested
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Art or education equivalent.
- Relevant Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design and web development with marketing, advertising or communications focus, or related experience.
- Skills:
- Experience in both graphic and web design, and possess a strong understanding of best practices (SEO, standard web design and development)
- Practical experience in development of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and/or SQL as well as WordPress
- Competency in Adobe Creativity Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Familiarity with graphic design concepts, practices and procedures, color theory, typography, and other elements of design
- Ability to translate business and brand objectives into compelling creative
- Experience working with printing and design vendors
