Community Health Development Partners is seeking an Architect to lead our in-house Design Team. This position involves working on various project types, with an emphasis on medical facilities and office buildings. The Architect will work closely alongside our construction, development, and project management teams to bring projects from concept to completion.

What you bring:
· Ability to adapt and work within company standards and drafting/engineering best practices.
· Understanding of code requirements and the ability to evaluate building plans for code compliance.
· Knowledge in building construction techniques, methods, and materials; specialized healthcare knowledge a plus.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal oversight.
· Ability to travel to other site locations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create and revise drawings.
· Work closely with contractors, project managers, other architects, and interior designers.
· Ability to follow instructions to create or modify drawings using company standards.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal oversight.
· Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
· Plan and design, and/or facilitate the execution of new building designs, and plan, design and/or facilitate the execution of building expansions or renovations according to CHDP’s needs, desires, and financial resources.
· Determines preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables.
· Attempts to identify through collaboration priorities in terms of needs vs. desires.
· Assists in defining priorities and vision by preparing preliminary sketches of options.
· Prepares and presents designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedule.
· Creates detailed plans integrating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; presents plans to clients for review and approval.
· Modifies new or existing plans as required.
· Prepares scale drawings and contract requirements and submits for bids.
· Collaborates to select and award construction contracts.
· Collaborates with head builder and clients to facilitate the building process to meet specifications.
Physical Requirements:
· All applicants must be physically able to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
Minimum Requirements:
· Post-secondary education in architecture or drafting is highly preferred.
· 1-2 years architectural experience, except for those recently graduated from a professional degree program.
· Understanding of all current code requirements
· Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to become involved in and remain current on issues relating to several concurrent projects in various stages
· Ability to work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization with a strong team-oriented approach
· High attention to detail.
