CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Nursing Informatics Specialist for its Franklin, TN, headquarters' Nursing Services- Nursing Informatics team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nursing Informatics Specialist is a corporate enterprise virtual position with the primary focus on Cerner EMR platform to include System configuration (Millennium- PowerChart), EMR optimization, project engagement, education and reporting. Functions as a key member of the Clinical Nursing team who identifies adoption challenges and process change opportunities to ensure compliance with the use of technology to optimize care delivery in alignment with Community Health Systems strategic goals. Consults with and assists key stakeholders in making the most effective use of clinical solutions through research, training, testing, system monitoring, and problem resolution. Competent to work in all phases of application system development lifecycle. Complies with corporate and departmental policies and procedures. Travel requirement for this position is typically kept to a minimum, under 10%.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains all Product artifacts including but not limited to:
- Responsible for application Nursing support, design, building, testing, systems analysis, systems documentation
- Ability to lead new projects and pilot implementations
- Lead design to meet the business requirements while maintaining a corporate best practice standard
- Lead Test script development
- New Product training development in collaboration with training team
- Manage change management activities including application work plan development related to assigned product
- Has ability to provide application training and mentor staff
- Development and tracking operational reports
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of additional experience can be substituted for education.
- RN preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology or Healthcare related experience.
- Experience as a clinician or Informatics professional requiring minimal supervision and having a demonstrated proven ability
- Ideal candidate will possess two or more years’ experience implementing and supporting nursing documentation systems, specifically Cerner Millennium PowerChart
- Experienced in Cerner Bedrock, DCP Tools and Discern preferred
- Application development and/or systems analysis experience is required
- Must have experience with Inpatient Nursing Department workflows in a hospital environment
- Strong understanding of Nursing and Ancillary documentation, MU and Interoperability
- Project Management experience desirable
- This person should be comfortable presenting information to large groups as well as senior leadership
