Community House Mental Health Agency is looking to hire two Residential Caregivers to join our team in our facility located in Seattle WA - Spring Manor.
Location: Capitol Hill
Position: Two overnight positions available - Friday, Sat, Sunday, Monday 10pm - 8am// Compensation: $21.62 - $26.28/Hourly/DOE
Monday - Thursday 10pm - 8am// Compensation $21.62 - $26.68 DOE

Caregivers are crucial members of Community House Residential staff teams. Caregivers cook for residents, monitor medications, triage and attend directly to crisis situations, and coordinate care with other medical and mental health professionals in a busy but rewarding setting.
An ideal candidate will have HCA or CNA certification and experience working with people who are diagnosed with schizophrenia or other mental illnesses. Potential employees must be able to pass a criminal background check, and have no disqualifying crimes on record.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Ability to work non-traditional schedule as required by the residential facility, including holidays as assigned.
2. Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution as needed.
3. Maintain resident and staff confidentiality at all times.
4. Make sure incoming telephone calls are answered.
5. Have legible handwriting.
6. Be able to do simple mathematics.
7. Be able to read and comprehend client charts.
8. Supervise residents taking medications, visually making sure that they are taking correct doses at appropriate times.
Job Requirements:
1. Must have at least a HS Diploma or have passed GED.
2. Current home phone/address.
3. Will need to obtain two separate tuberculosis tests (one before first shift).
4. Agree to permit State Patrol Background Check.
5. Be free of substance abuse.
6. A working knowledge and adherence to all agency policies and procedures.
Experience Required: Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness, or related social service experience and/or ability to acquire specialized training, to work with our target population. Ability to work both independently and as a team.
