Job Description

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) is seeking a passionate Case Manager Supervisor to work at in our Santa Maria office you will be working Monday, Thursday 12pm-8pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am-5pm. You will be responsible for supervising Case Manager staff, relating to both security and case management. You are also responsible for assisting the  program director in developing, leading and supervising client group meetings, program services and counseling sessions. Monitor and evaluate group activities on an ongoing basis.

Since CSI’s founding in 1962, it has been a pioneer in the community-based service. We have been delivering supervision, treatment, and comprehensive individualized services to help clients interact more effectively in their communities and become productive citizens. Using this plan we built the first ever halfway house in New England which has now been replicated and grown to almost 50 programs in 9 states. For over 50 years, CSI has been building upon its successful foundations and has been expanding its services to serve thousands of adults, youth, and families each year.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS includes but are not limited too:
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of case manager, including carrying a caseload as required by program needs, as relates to counseling, case record management, intake assessment, discharge preparation, aftercare services, security, resource management and facility maintenance.
  • Supervise Case Manager staff, relating to both security and case management.
  • Review all client related paperwork, regarding content, timeliness and quality. Review all client files on a monthly basis for organization and content.
  • Monitor client compliance with treatment stipulations and recommend modifications to program director.
  • Assist program director in developing, leading and supervising client group meetings, program services and counseling sessions. Monitor and evaluate group activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist program director in training staff in areas of security procedures, client supervision, client paperwork and case management duties.
  • As necessary, supervise the completion of urine collections, telephone spot checks and employment and home site visits of clients to verify and document client movement and record information.
  • Monitor shift operation for compliance with Agency policy and procedure, applicable standards and relevant contractual policy.
  • Monitor staff compliance with all policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of clients, Agency property and the community.
  • Assist program director in setting agenda and participate in weekly staff meetings.
  • Perform the functions of human service worker/case manager such as client supervision, custody, searches, facility rounds, counts, and urine surveillance as needed.
  • Participate in on call agency duty officer rotation as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science field and two years’ experience in case management or similar field. Education may be substituted with experience on a year for year basis.
  • One year experience in management and supervision of staff or three years of case management experience.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills desired.
  • Ability to engage and develop collaborations with community agencies.
  • Previous assessment experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
