Loan Servicing Specialist
This position is responsible for supporting loan operations with analyzing loan documents for accuracy and compliance, booking loans onto the core system, creating and maintaining loan files, researching inquiries on existing loans in addition to tracking insurance, financials, and UCC’s in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers (Customer Service Representatives, Tellers, Vendors, other departments, etc.…) Other job duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process paid off loan documentation.
- Handle payoff requests and existing loan inquiries.
- Mail billing, past due and matured loan notices daily.
- Research auto transfer payments that have not been debited from accounts.
- Handle payment reversals/corrections and billing corrections
- Track, obtain and maintain current homeowners and business insurance certificates.
- Track all recorded state and county UCC’s and process continuations and terminations.
- Track all financial information; obtain annual updates as required.
- Book loans, renewals and modifications into Core System
- Create new loan files and add to ticklers as needed.
- File incoming documentation in loan and credit files and in collateral vault.
- Balance Loan in Process and research rejected loan transactions daily
- Balance multiple accounts at month’s end including but not limited to Doc Stamps, VSI, GAP, and Credit Life.
- Process loans on an as-needed basis
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Fulfill responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations. This includes identifying customers properly, initiating CTRs and SARs investigations as needed, utilizing OFAC records and maintaining appropriate records.
- Adheres to Bank’s policies and procedures and all Federal and State laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Should be familiar with loan documentation and collateral paperwork. Candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills and have the ability to maintain workflow follow-up. Attention to detail and accurately inputting information is a must. Candidate must have the ability to work well with others using a team concept. Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers and customers.
- High school degree or GED required.
- 1 year loan operations experience preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office including Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience with accurate data entry, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
