Position Summary
The Lead OA provides support and collaboration to COMTREA staff, Premier Dental Anesthesiology, and parents/guardians of sedation candidates. The Lead OA is responsible for the advanced level of scheduling procedures and maintaining contact with all necessary parties to ensure all requirements are in line and in order for sedation to be completed.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Takes lead role in sedation process, ensuring all items are in order and completed for patient to receive sedation services.
- Manages and distributes all GA Folders and ensures every office has GA Folders readily available
- Stays in contact with Premier staff to ensure all patients fit criteria for sedation services.
- Maintains accurate and current documentation of care coordination efforts.
- Processing GA Patient Paperwork/Insurance
- Follows up with sedation families who have not kept appointments.
- Knowledge of Dental Terminology and Dental Insurance Billing
- Work in Dentrix and Premier NOVO system
- Accurately Scheduling patient appointments
- Ability to work within a team
- Back Up to Office Associates assisting with scheduling of patients and other general office duties

Experience: Minimum of 3 years administrative experience with demonstrated knowledge. Sedation Scheduling/Coordination experience is preferred.
Computer Skills: Requires knowledge of modern office practices and equipment including computer basics. Word experience and able to type 35WPM. Knowledge of patient billing procedures.
Certifications & Licenses:
Other Requirements: Requires ability to deal with the public in a tactful, pleasant and courteous manner. Requires considerable knowledge of business, English, spelling, grammar, and correct composition. This position requires the necessary interpersonal skills to effectively work with clinicians, co-workers and patients in the delivery of quality healthcare including coordinating tasks with co-workers. Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.
