As the caregiver, your daily activities are centered around assisting residents with various aspects of their day-to-day living. You are able to comfortably adapt to this family-oriented center by being patient, compassionate and willing to learn. This is a great opportunity to learn and work hands-on with rehabilitative and mental health patients in a casual, home-based environment.
About the Facility:
Minimum Skills, Experience, Licensure, & Educational Requirements:
- High School Degree or GED
- Clean Background Check
- Driver's License and clean driving record
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current TB Skin Test (within the past year or willing to obtain prior to be scheduled for work)
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
- Follow and stay up to date with resident Care Plans and Behavioral Support Plans. Report to the Manager any necessary changes that may need to be added to the plans as needed.
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive living environment.
- Ensuring quality services are provided to the individuals who reside in the home.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Assist/support individuals with activities of daily living as needed including cooking, toileting, bathing, dressing, mobility and transferring.
- Assist/support individuals in completing living skills: money management, shopping, household cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, activities, and community engagement.
- Provide transportation to individuals as needed.
- Complete daily required documentation (must be comfortable with electronic documentation systems). Responsible for ensuring all the required documentation and reporting is complete, timely and accurate.
- Administer medication accurately and complete required documentation in the electronic documentation system.
- Assist with development and implementation of resident goals. Complete daily documentation of individual goals in the electronic documentation system.
- Complete incident reports timely and accurately in the electronic documentation system.
- Clean and disinfect daily to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the home to include toilet cleaning, mopping of floors and wiping appliances.
- Report to Manager on any maintenance issues that need attention for the home (inside/outside) and company vehicle.
- Submitting any household/vehicle receipts in a timely manner to Manager.
- Ensure your required certifications are current and up to date.
- Attending required staff trainings and meetings.
- Uphold Colorado license requirements, home inspections, audits, licensing review and preparation.
- Cooperate with the Agency and Department staff in any inspection or investigation.
- Administrative tasks such as using a computer, answering the phone/making phone calls, filing, and faxing.
- Communicating with other programs/agencies regarding residents' care/needs.
