Student Information Systems Coordinator
YOUR MISSION
You play a critical role in providing process development and technical support to campus registrars. You oversee the collection, management, and compliance of student data and ensure its accessibility for stakeholders through training, resources, and support.
The Student Information Coordinator is managed by the Director of Data and Analytics.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Design, Training, and Development

Develop processes and systems for school-based registrars regarding registration, student transfers, student withdrawals, and attendance.

Develop process and systems for school-based registrars regarding student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, schedule changes, and grade books.

Develop a continuum of training for school-based staff regarding registration, withdrawals, attendance processes, and student information compliance

Provide ongoing coaching and development for campus-based registrars

Collaborate with Directors of Operations to identify key campus needs and provide year-long training to registrars and school-based staff in response to those needs

Conduct weekly tactical meetings for school-based registrars

Visit campuses to conduct training, provide support, and ensure compliance

Collaborate with PEIMS Coordinator to develop procedures and checks-and-balances that serve students and campuses well while also satisfy state regulations and reporting requirements
Compliance and Reporting

Attend external based trainings to support network-wide compliance regarding Student Information Systems

Provide direct support to school-based registrars for TEA data submissions

Act as a point of contact with Region 20 for all issues related to attendance reporting and sync with school-based communications systems

Provide direct support to campuses with data entry and records review

Partner with Director of Special Programs, ESL Coordinator, and school-based Special Populations personnel to ensure accuracy of records and appropriate coding for service delivery

Oversee campus registration process to verify enrollment accuracy

Support campuses with the full student enrollment process, including transcript review and course enrollment

Collaborate with the PEIMS Coordinator regarding data submissions and compliance
-
Conduct internal campus audits for attendance compliance, student demographic data reporting and services, transcript audits and course enrollment, and on-track plans for graduation

Oversee campus adherence to attendance protocols and matrix, including truancy reporting and process

Produce necessary student information reports for various stakeholders

Monitor, edit, perform and address errors or discrepancies within high-volume data entry related to attendance, registration, discipline, student records, and special programs
School Attendance Support

Partner with campuses to roll out attendance incentives
-
Support campuses with ADA intervention plans and partner on problem-solving for truant students

YOU

have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required)
-
Have school student records experience
-
are preferably bilingual in Spanish
-
have strong interpersonal skills
-
have strong verbal and written communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed: network staff, campus leadership, teachers, parents, students, and school operations staff
YOUR SCHEDULE

Year-round position with 40 hours

Minimal in-town travel and after-hours events required

YOUR COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Varies based on experience
Competitive salary based upon credentials and experience ranging from $42,000 - $56,000
