Hyannis Country Garden, a family owned garden center & nursery, is looking for a part-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.
Job Duties include:
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Review employment applications, track status of candidates, responds with follow-up letters and schedules interviews.
- Oversees new employee onboarding and orientation.
- Records and maintains employee information in personnel files on an electronic database.
- Explains company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Administer employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
- Coordinates company-wide training efforts and seminars.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions regarding HR.
- Conducts audits to measure the success of HR programs and then recommend changes.
- Coordinates and implements general office services such as appointment-setting, records control, and other administrative activities.
Qualifications/Requirements include:
- 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
