About the Role
We are adding a Project Accountant to our Facilities Management team located in Washington DC.
Typical Duties Include:
- Review, approve and post all vendor invoices to financial system after management review and approval
- Review, approve, and post all corporate credit card transactions to financial system after management approval
- Support generation and issuance of vendor purchase orders with proper project accounting information in the financial system
- Assist with monthly billing preparation for base contract and billable project activities, including the collection and packaging of customer's required backup documentation
- Setup or modification of project work orders in the financial system
- Prepare or support financial analysis as requested by Project Management or CBS Accounting team
- Support annual audit requests from the CBS Accounting team
- Perform additional finance and accounting assignments as directed by the Project Management or CBS Accounting team
- Research and respond to customer billing or vendor invoice inquiries
You Should Have
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Five (5) years of relevant project accounting experience preferred
- Four (4) year accounting degree or a minimum of fifteen (15) undergraduate accounting credit hours. In lieu of formal education, past work experience is strongly considered
- Intermediate to advanced office productivity software skills including experience with word processing, spreadsheet programs, and financial accounting software
- Knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software or Field Service Management software is a plus, but not required
- Attentive to details and can keep information well organized
- Team player with a willingness to help and support other team members regardless of your job title or description
- Ability to work independently, problem solve independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion
- Good verbal and written communication skills
