What are we looking for in a Nurse?
Nurses collaborate with various treatment teams to provide integrated, evidence-based treatment to clients. Nurses work closely with clients to administer medications, to provide education about prescriptions and general health needs, and to develop a treatment plan that reflects the clients’ goals. When possible, nurses will also coordinate with clients’ families or social supports to help position clients for success. Our programs have adopted trauma-informed principles to client care, so the nursing process will similarly take a respectful, client-centered approach. Training, continuing medical education, and regular supervision are provided as part of this position.

This position is located at Pathways, our 16-bed residential treatment facility for adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. At this facility, residents receive individualized and integrated co-occurring disorder treatment from an interdisciplinary team with an emphasis on stabilization and recovery. Staffed 24 hours a day, Pathways provides intensive treatment to individuals who need a higher level of care than can be provided in outpatient co-occurring disorder treatment. This Nurse position has a regular work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

Nursing duties may include:

• administering medications (including injections) and monitoring clients’ symptoms & response to medication
• counseling clients & their families about medications and treatment
• completing nursing intake assessments and monitoring for adverse conditions prior to administering any medication
• participating in collaborative treatment planning for each client, and offering expertise regarding nursing and medical concerns when needed
• assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
• promoting and guiding infection control efforts
• completing all clinical documentation in timely and thorough manner

Qualifications:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing
• Licensed as Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State
• Valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance

Pay Rates:

• LPN: $27.35 - $34.19 per hour
• RN: $37.10 - $46.38 per hour
• Plus a one-time bonus of $15,000 upon hire, subject to a one-year commitment
