As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we’re looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE MANAGER. The exceptional candidate should have Third Party Logistics and Tier l Automotive experience:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a maintenance team comprised of maintenance supervisors and maintenance technicians on two shifts – 1st shift and 3rd shift. This includes hands-on responsibility in installing and maintaining production machines and the plant facilities equipment.
- People and team development, motivating the team and ensuring quality performance and customer expectations are met. Keeping team members accountable for achieving goals and daily tasks.
- Coach team members to utilize work instructions, processes and problem solving on the floor.
- Leading all phases of daily, weekly, monthly maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with customer to deliver expected results.
- Meeting with vendors and service contractors; scheduling & oversite of maintenance performed by outside vendors/contractors.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspections on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Leads supervisors and technicians in performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Seek continuous improvement on processes, safety for the entire maintenance function within the plant.
- Achieving site performance for uptime, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness and building maintenance and Tier Zero 3PL required start up building set up
- Meet all OSHA regulations to include regulations such as lock out – tag out procedures.
- This role requires regular presence on the plant floor and may require occasional work in poor weather including heat and cold.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or Electrician Journeyman Card and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- A minimum of 5 years Maintenance Management experience.
- Leadership experience with the ability to get results through motivating inspiring mentoring team members
- Project Management experience
- Demonstrated strong communication skills
- Computer skills, preferably Microsoft Office Suites, Outlook, RFID scanning equipment.
- Assembly experience highly desirable such as Wheel and Tire assembly or other automotive assembly.
- Working knowledge of value-added subassembly for both chassis and trim components and modules.
- Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Automotive background experience required, specifically with experience related to sequencing, JIT and sub-assembly.
