CompTIA's Tech Career Academy is looking for a Manager, Career Services for our Portland, OR location.

We are seeking a mission-driven Manager, Career Services with a broad range of skills that includes selling job placement opportunities, strategic partnership development, coaching, and knowledge of tech. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and growing employer relationships for CompTIA Technical Career Academy (CTCA) in assigned region.Responsible for maintaining a minimum of 70% job placement rate.Create target prospect list and cold call generating leads to secure career placements via telephone, e-mail, and in person.Responsible for connecting CTCA graduates with employers and appropriate job matches in their local area. Responsible for postgraduate follow up with CTCA alumni for accurate capture of employment data and maintaining accurate and complete student records in the student information system with appropriate documentation.Ability to work independently as well as contribute to team effort in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for assisting students in career preparedness and career search process, including, but not limited to facilitating class speakers and mock interview opportunities. Coordinate with training contractors in delivery of the training programs.Develop and effectively manage program timelines and procedures to ensure timely completion of program deliverables.Develop and nurture relationships with business contacts in the IT environment, with end goal of placing program graduates in entry-level positions.Understand and identify entry-level IT positions with local businesses.Clear communication and accurately track and assess program data including performance outcomes and program statistics.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of IT training programs and employer relationships
A passion for upskilling workforce talent with a focus on diversity
Able to effectively manage relationships and meet goals
Able to work independently and collaborate with other business units to leverage internal relationships with potential employers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Possess good organizational and phone skills
A self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills
Entrepreneurial self-starter
Education and/or Experience:
6 years of workforce development, adult education, or non-profit experience a plusSales or technical recruiting experience a plusKnowledge of the IT industry and entry-level IT positions
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
