Your Role
The IT Security Specialist role is an integral part of the Compyl team. Compyl has built a security and compliance product, with much of the value stemming from information security and compliance expertise. In this role, you are working directly with customers to provide them with strategic advice and technical support for security activities, enabling their overall success with Compyl. You will also be required to establish and maintain internal security and technology controls allowing us to provide assurance to our customers that we’re secure.
What will you do as an IT Security Specialist?
- Architect and implement security and infrastructure solutions ensuring compliance to industry frameworks and segregation are maintained at all times.
- Migrate current environment to new architected solutions.
- Enable capacity to monitor changes and automated reporting back to Compyl.
- Document new configurations and security requirements.
- Work with our current and prospective customers to answer any security related questions and help them progress through their journey in maturing their security program.
- Contribute to our customers technology strategy and product selection, considering local compliance requirements and security best practices.
- Understand and assist in improving uptake in COMPYL’s application, Compyl. This will include enabling our customers to get full value from the product.
- Partner with our Customer Success Team to ensure appropriate due-diligence is performed as part of onboarding and ongoing customer success touchpoints.
- Work on transitional projects and security implementations for our customers and teams.
- Partner with other departmental leaders in order to align and execute product strategies and ensure that each department receives the right level of support from the IT Security specialists.

- You have a strong technical grounding, with professional experience as a security specialist, an all-rounder if you will.
- You are passionate about Cyber and Information Security, and understand the balance between security and business operations.
- You have a knack for customer relations, feel comfortable providing guidance to technical and non-technical people alike.

Required Skills & Experience
Technical
- A deep understanding of security frameworks and best practices including SOC2, ISO27001, NIST, etc.
- You have a diverse skill set across both advisory and technical security competencies.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
