ComResource is looking for a ServiceNow CMDB & APM Administrator.
As the ServiceNow CMDB Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. Your role will involve ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the CMDB and APM, as well as supporting various IT processes and initiatives related to configuration management.
Responsibilities:
As the ServiceNow CMDB Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. Your role will involve ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the CMDB and APM, as well as supporting various IT processes and initiatives related to configuration management.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, including its configuration, data integrity, and ongoing synchronization with other IT systems and data sources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement CMDB-related processes, and define best practices for configuration management.
- Configure and customize the CMDB modules, including CI classes, attributes, relationships, and workflows, to align with organizational needs and industry best practices.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy and completeness of CMDB data, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies or discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain CMDB-related documentation, including configuration policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure proper integration and alignment of CMDB & APM data with other IT processes such as incident, problem, and change management.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, representing the CMDB & APM perspective and providing expertise on configuration management processes
- Implement Information objects and Technology Portfolio Management
- Solid experience in administering and configuring the ServiceNow CMDB, including CI classes, attributes, relationships, and workflows.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow platform administration, including knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and processes, particularly in the area of configuration management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to data analysis and reconciliation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for IT Service Management or Certified System Administrator (CSA), are highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
