About the position
The Director of Finance will build the financial systems from the ground up at an early stage, pre-revenue startup, that is gearing up for commercial launch.
In this role you will develop the accounting systems and financial tools to enable our growth and guide critical business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own all things finance – from AR and AP, to our five year strategic plan and everything in between!
- Manage all aspects of cash flow by monitoring the in and outflows of capital (e.g., implement billing and expense tracking processes)
- Own all aspects of accounting operations & financial reporting (including taxes, audits, etc) in collaboration with external service providers
- Work closely with our Technology and Operations teams to model COGS Develop and implement systems to track and forecast budgets on a quarterly and annual basis
- Evaluate and select an auditing firm and be the main point of contact for all financial audits and finance requests
- Ensure 409a valuation is up to date
Required Skills And Experience
- Experience working at an early stage startup and have built a financial infrastructure from scratch
- 5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, FP&A, and/or business finance
- Expert at financial modeling and have the ability to develop and interpret complex financial models
- No need to do the bookkeeping and accounting yourself, but you can confidently walk through the books, P&L and balance sheet
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Strong financial modeling skills and are proficient with Excel and/or Google Sheets
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
