Role: Cloud Solutions Architect
Location: Washington, DC (remote to start)
Duration: Long term
This is for a role we have w/our client Washington, DC – remote now but they will be back on site come May, so need people who are comfortable with that – its not 100% remote forever
so can take a Tech or Solutions Architect w/ some AWS/Azure and ideally MS/AWS Cert –
Have anyone who is close. Manager might consider someone w/o the Cert, however its highly preferred! And they use both .Net and Java so either would work from a Dev perspective (maybe a slight lean towards the .Net)
We are looking for resource who has worked on cloud solution architecture and has a software development background. Someone who started more as developers and grew to be solution architect. Should have good understanding of cloud services (AWS/Azure) and certification from Microsoft/AWS. Person should be able to quickly pick up new technology and able to perform quick analysis on various solutions with excellent written/oral communication.
Initial Contract until July 2023
Location: Washington DC
Onsite 1-2 days a week starting in May 2022 – 100% remote, right now
Looking for a Solutions Architect with experience using AWS or Azure
- 7 years of overall experience
- Developer or programmer background preferred
- 2-3yrs of Solutions architect experience
- Microsoft AWS certification a bonus
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide technical design expertise, defines what technical requirements are needed to support defined business requirements, participates in detailed design, reviews system architecture, reviews test plans, and provides technical guidance to the Application Team
- Responsible for collaborating with the Team Lead(s) to coordinate project schedules, budgets, request management, and work authorization.
- Define and evaluate logical and physical data models.
- Define test plans and criteria for acceptance for the technical components of system
- Ensure business requirements are supported by the technical architecture
- Assist in leading technical direction of software and hardware;
- Assist in development of overall system technical architecture - including software and hardware.
- Analyze, determine, and document technical requirements and change request impact analysis. Participate in detailed design and product test execution as required.
- Ensure business requirements are supported by the technical architecture.
- Assist in defining technical architecture standards.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.

Pay: $68.00 - $70.00 per hour
