Warehouse - Nights

Our Waterloo, Iowa Facility has been in operation for over 25 years and is looking for a Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our overnight team. Starting pay is $23/hour and you will earn a $1,000 sign-on bonus. We offer a complete benefits package including paid time off at 90 days and up to a 9% 401(k) company match.

Summary:

You will support production and warehouse needs across the facility. The Material Handler supplies materials and ingredients to the production lines promptly. You will operate palletizers and robots, performs all scanning and SAP related functions for production and inventory tracking. You will report to the Warehouse Manager and work on a team with other material handlers.

Essential Functions:

• You will perform a daily safety check of your forklift.
• You will transport pallets of raw materials/supplies throughout our plant.
• You will prepare raw materials/supplies for production lines.
• You will rotate goods in the warehouse to satisfy our customer's needs.
• You will transport trailers in and out of the loading dock area
• You'll pick orders and load product onto trucks
• You will transport finished goods from robots and palletizers to store in the warehouse.
• Throughout your shift, you will scan information into SAP and print labels for inventory counts.
• Provide on the job training to other employees and resolve problems using knowledge of plant operations.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
• Receive and unload materials from trucks, scan material into inventory system and place product into specific warehouse locations.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' forklift experience.
• Related experience in a manufacturing facility, food production.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
• 1 year of experience working in a team environment
• Related experience or knowledge with SAP

Work Environment Requirements:

• You will work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions.
• You can move within office/manufacturing facilities, write by hand/keyboard and perform general office functions.
• You will communicate with fellow employees by speech and hearing by phone and in person.
• Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
• General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
• You will transport finished goods from robots and palletizers to store in the warehouse.
