Software Test Engineer

Concept Plus is hiring a Software Test Engineer as part of a team tasked with the development and sustainment of a web application for the Defense Logistics Agency.  As a Test Engineer, you will be part of a Scrum team that includes 4 to 5 developers.  You will lead and execute testing processes.  You will work to develop and improve testing processes and testing methodology.  You will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle. You will participate in design sessions, attend requirement refinement and daily Scrum meetings, and support various program tasks as needed including design reviews, operations, and other activities. You will work with your Scrum team, as needed, to create various artifacts which could include design documents, technical approach, roadmaps, etc.  Your experience, expertise, and efforts will support the delivery quality software.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data and test results
• Execute and evaluate test cases
• Work with Scrum team, Scrum Master, and Product Owner/Business Analyst to ensure proper software testing methodologies are used
• Verify requirements/issues are properly documented, and testing is completed according to established timelines
• Work in an agile environment and complete testing within sprints
• Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews
• Provide guidance, as needed, to customers in support of user acceptance testing
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
• Work with developers and support teams to assist with troubleshooting
• Provide guidance to developers during development activities as needed
• Work closely with teams to ensure completion of key tasks including deployment, code baseline and merge, version control, documentation, etc.
• Adapt test automation to suit project needs
• Research and recommend solutions and tools to automate testing
• Implement and automate security testing using tools like Fortify
• Support MEBS on-call duties on a rotational basis

Required Qualifications:

• BS Degree
• Must have or ability to obtain a Security certification within 6 weeks
• Job related certification, but may be obtained within 6 months of hire
• 3 years of experience in the development and execution of test plans and test scripts for Web-based applications
• 1 years of experience with automation testing
• 1 years of SQL experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skill

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps
• 1 years of experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
• 2 years of experience in automation. Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit
• Good knowledge of SQL coding
• Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (Gherkin), Behavior Driven Development

Nice To Have Skills:

• Experience with static and dynamic security testing and 508 testing
• Experience with programming and scripting with Java, HTML/CSS//XML/ and/or JavaScript
• Development Environment: Oracle ADF/ANT
