As the Senior Billing Specialist, your job duties will include but are not limited to :

• Responsible for accuracy and completeness of billing based on client guidelines.
• Review and edit proformas in response to attorney and assistant requests.
• Apply retainer funds as directed by attorney.
• Ability to execute complex bills in a timely manner.
• Ability to understand Exception rates, Discounts, Multipayor, and Electronic Billing.
• Handle a high volume of bills per month.
• Effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, legal assistants, and clients.
• Review and verify accuracy of billing and provide supporting documentation as required.
• Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues.
• Create billing reports and spreadsheets as required.
• Assist with training and mentoring of new employees and less experienced billing staff.
• Administrative responsibilities are consistently well-maintained (rate updates, billing updates, and unallocated balances).
• Assist in rate maintenance annually and ad hoc.
• Assist with month-end close process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Required Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years billing experience in a law firm environment required.
• TimeSolve experience preferred.
• Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
