What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Product Manager position at Concordia Publishing House?
Concordia Publishing House is seeking a full-time Manager of Digital Products. This position is responsible for setting, prioritizing, evaluating, and leading the product development direction of digital products to ensure features and functionality exceed the expectations of customer and positively influences them with the mission of CPH while meeting business plan objectives and increasing financial sustainability.
Specific duties include:
- Defines vision, direction, strategy, and priorities for CPH digital products.
- Responsible for developing and executing the annual business plan including sales, costs, budgets, and missional impact.
- Identifies and plans future digital product opportunities through analysis of target consumer research, market trends, and competition to strengthen the future mission and sustainability.
- Leads the planning and iteration of the software development roadmaps and documents the required outcomes for each milestone.
- Works with IT and outside vendors to execute the technical implementation of software integration. Resolves disputes and collaborates with internal partners to maintain processes and efficiencies.
- Assists with maintenance of the Customer Relationship Manager software to capture customer data, gain insights on digital consumer behavior, and propose future digital product solutions.
- Markets digital products by writing blog posts, hosting webinars, and any other tactics which require detailed understanding of product feature and customer use cases.
- Evaluates and regularly reports on development updates.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, information technology, or related field.
- Five years related software/business experience.
- Advanced Abilities: Strategic Planning, Customer Research, Data Analysis, Product Development.
- Core Abilities: Mobile Development Strategy, Microsoft Excel, Database/CRM Management.
- Intermediate Abilities: Web Programming, Inbound Marketing, Public Speaking, Marketing Automation.
- Strong knowledge and affinity with the LCMS.
