Composition developer (Quadient/GMC)

Remote- US

As a Composition developer (Quadient/GMC), you'll play a vital role in designing, developing, supporting a variety of content creation/management projects. A great place to bring out all the creative ideas for dynamic content creation. You will work with a team of developers under minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks and at time provide guidance to the peers on composition development. As part of daily work, you will be implementing new projects/requirements, troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs and improving processes.   

 

We need someone who can:

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing processes
  • Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design
  • Review technical specifications based on stated business requirements
  • Establish and ensure coding standards are met with at most quality
  • Be part of application release, deployment, documentation
  • Be a quick learner and enthusiast to pick up challenging tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

 

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • 6 years of experience using the Quadient (formerly GMC) Inspire Designer software for document composition
  • Expertise with IPS, ICM, Interactive and Scaler
  • Must be familiar with various Data Input file formats like XML, CSV, Fixed Field length etc.
  • Must be proficient in using the functionality of the Data Transformer Modules for various data manipulations and formatting involving but not limited to field formatting, file splits, record regrouping, record sorting, scripting, functions, parameter calls, file merging etc.
  • Layout design experience and document set up should include but is not limited to multi-version lettering, transactional table creation, barcoding, graphs, conditional flows, conditional graphics, text styling, paragraph styling, variable formatted flows, and variable pages
  • Must be familiar with the use of sheet indexing and its usage involving sheet manipulation for sheet regrouping, sheet filtering, sheet concatenations, sheet mixing, mail house holding, and output file grouping/splitting
  • Should be able to produce XML and Text file data outputs using Data Output module and Advanced Data Output modules
  • PDF, Postscript Print Output experience

 

Additional Desired Requirements (optional)

 

  • Experience with Line-Item Data, and Multi-record layout input file formats.
  • Experience with Postscript, TNO, AFP, HTML file outputs.
  • Experience with designing workflow processes using multiple WFD files, TNO input/output usage, external resources, Workflow Gates, and External Workflows.
  • Experience with Command line set up for automated file processing.
  • Experience with Print & Mail domain is plus.
  • Experience with MessagePoint toolset is a plus.
  • Experience in Dynamic Communication development using Inspire Designer and producing HTML output.

 

The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose the following information. If the successful applicant will be required to perform work from a physical site outside Colorado, the following information may not apply.  Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. For Colorado considerations only the estimated salary range is $92,040 minimum - $ 104,000 midpoint.
