Conejo, a new Mexican restaurant in Richmond, VA, is seeking a full-time Chef de Cuisine.
Conejo is acclaimed for the quality and authenticity of our food. We are looking for a Chef de Cuisine who is passionate about great food and understands the pace and logistics of a high-volume kitchen. Working closely with Executive Chef, Danny Mena, the Chef de Cuisine is charged with managing a productive, cohesive kitchen team and overseeing the efficient operations of the kitchen and upholding our culinary standards. The CDC leads all training and execution of our menus, inventory management, and safety and sanitation standards and must have full knowledge of our recipes, sourcing, and standards of quality. The CDC serves as the liaison with the FOH staff to execute service on a timely basis and create an exceptional dining experience. This position reports to the General Manager and Director of Operations. Salary $63,000-$70,000/annual.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years kitchen experience, 1 year in leadership position in high volume kitchen
- Excellent culinary skills
- Basic Spanish proficiency
- Physically able to stand for the duration of your shift and lift up to 25 lbs
- Experience with Mexican cooking a plus
