Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including inventory control, space management, logistics, shipping and receiving.
- Establish and update warehouse practices and protocols to achieve efficiency.
- Supervise and participate in shipping and receiving operations.
- Organizes and space plans inventory locations for efficient operations.
- Overseeing warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
- Train and monitor shipping and receiving staff in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices.
- Manage inventory disbursement of materials to Manufacturing.
- Communicates with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
- Maintains the location and security of assets.
- Continuously improve the efficiency of operations by researching, investigating, and implementing new technologies and techniques.
- Manage shipping vendor relations and provide savings opportunities to control operating costs.
- Address shipping damages and work with vendors to minimize occurrences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Experience with WMS, order management applications and database systems
- Knowledge of automated software systems and implementation
- Proven ability to implement process improvement and space utilization initiatives.
- Hands on experience with warehouse and inventory management software and databases.
- Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
- Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
- Effective communication skills including writing, speaking, and active listening.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or equivalent experience.
