What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Confidential?
We have a busy in-house attorney that needs a smart and efficient individual to assist with a variety of corporate matters that are integral to the company’s operations. The company provides business process and IT outsourcing services to many fortune 100 companies.
Core functions of the job include contract drafting and review; excellent technical reading and drafting ability or experience doing the same. Other functions will involve litigation and risk mitigation, especially in relation to employment matters, legal research, providing legal counsel to internal business groups, and administrative functions. This is an immediate opening for full-time assistance.
What your days will look like:
- Assist in evaluating reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
- Review commercial contracts, NDAs, leases, and other miscellaneous contracts.
- Litigation: review files; draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; maintain calendar; and prepare for and participate in mediations.
- Contract Management- includes contract drafting and review; excellent technical reading and drafting ability or experience doing the same desired
- Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Help to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, and telecommunications.
- Conduct legal research.
- Draft correspondence.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned, including administrative tasks.
