Controller/Bookkeeper
We are a thriving Real Estate company headquartered in downtown St. Petersburg. Our dynamic team is dedicated to excellence and innovation in the real estate industry. With multiple entities under our umbrella, we are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team.We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Staff Accountant with a proactive and positive attitude. The ideal candidate must be proficient in accounting and bookkeeping skills.
Must be able to oversee & execute (as needed) all aspects of A/R, A/P, payroll, processing commission checks, annual and mid-year budgets, preparation and analysis of financial statements, and production of key metric reports. Rapid problem-solving skills and strategic financial decision-making capabilities are a must. In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday. Strong financial background is needed with the ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment. Understanding real estate brokerage is preferable.

- Compile financial information for Accountant(s) for all entities.
- Responsible for reviewing budget proposals and requests for funding, evaluating spending needs, and conducting cost-benefit analyses
- Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable and receivable records
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
- Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profit and loss
- Reconcile bank statements
- Ability to manage small projects with little supervision from beginning to completion.
- Prepare weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports
Salary/Hourly Rate
$57k – $65k based on experience

Qualifications Of The Staff Accountant
- 3 to 6 years of accounting experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel skills, and MLS/real estate knowledge is a plus but not required

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred, but not required
