What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Manager position at Confidential?
We are a healthcare company in the Boise/Meridian area looking for a fun, hardworking, motivated individual to be our Dietary Manager. This position is full time, 40 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare/cook/serve meals to residents and staff daily
- Conduct daily inspections of the kitchen for proper cleanliness and safety
- Conduct weekly inspections of the storage areas to ensure regulatory compliance and order
- Communicate department activities to administration as required
- Order food/supplies within designated budget
- Participate in department head meetings
- Communicate effectively with staff, coworkers, and administration
- Responsible for hiring, firing, monitoring/assessing staff performance, training, and creating staff work schedules
Requirements
- Certified Dietary Manager certification is required
- Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements
- Foodservice experience in a long-term care setting is preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
