What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Surveyor position at Confidential?
Must be willing to travel in MI and surrounding states. Must be able to email/upload site data. Must be able to obtain any recorded documents needed from government agencies etc. Must have all equipment and reliable transportation. Work will be paid per project and monthly expense basis. This is a contractor/1099 position for gathering site data.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys and measurements using various tools and equipment.
- Collect and analyze data to determine property boundaries, topography, and other relevant information.
- Prepare survey reports, maps, and drawings using software such as Carlson, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to land surveys.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate surveying for project planning and development.
- Utilize robotics and GPS technology for precise measurements.
- Perform calculations and apply mathematical principles, including algebra and geometry, to surveying tasks.
- Build and maintain surveying equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Surveyor or similar role.
- Proficient in using surveying tools and software such as Carlson, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
- Strong mathematical skills with knowledge of algebra and geometry.
- Ability to collect accurate data and perform data analysis.
- Familiarity with drafting techniques and ability to create detailed maps and drawings.
- Knowledge of robotics technology for advanced surveying techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively.
