What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Confidential?
The ideal candidate for this position is a Financial Analyst with effective communication skills and who enjoys working as part of a team. As a Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will consist of performing financial modeling on various aspects of the business as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will also be required to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management.
How you will make an impact
- Collaborate with VP-Operations on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: sales forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
- Complete and direct forecasting reports and customer profitability
- Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business resources are optimally used
- The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations
- Drive monthly reporting to management on financial results and if any actions are required
- Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks
- Ensuring AR/AP data is being entered into the systems in a timely manner
- Deliver valuable foresight and decision support by enabling effective reporting and maintaining/upgrading existing reports.
- Account reconciliation experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of analyzing financial statements
- Good understanding of Cash Flow analysis and forecasts
- General familiarity with analytics and report making
- Experience with distribution/ecommerce business is preferred
- Practical knowledge of budget forecasting
- Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets is preferable
- BA/BS degree in accounting or a related field
- Experience with Sage 100 and Crystal Reports is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
