Financial Controller

• A private, award winning custom home building company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic and growing team. This role will include the following responsibilities: Overseeing financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll and cash flow management • Developing and maintaining the system of internal accounting controls and financial reporting •Managing and developing Financial team• Budgeting, forecasting and analysis • Producing monthly financial statements • Coordinating quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits and tax returns • Maintaining state registrations, business and tax licenses and other tasks as assigned. Ensuring forecasts, project budgets and division budgets are prepared timely and accurately. Successful candidates will possess these critical key competencies: • Decision making • Multi tasking • Project/task follow-up • Experience dealing with banks and financial institutions • ability to collaborate with Senior Management and Company Owners to ensure financial directives are followed. • Excellent written and verbal communication • Strong knowledge of Excel, Quickbooks and other applications as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA, active CPA preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting
• Accounting experience, preferably in residential or commercial home building preferred
• Experience with finance and accounting systems and software
• Knowledge of construction industry cost accounting
• Prior experience managing and training accounting/finance personnel preferred
• Computer literacy, including excellent Excel and Quickbooks experience
• Credit report in good standing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
