Seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our team of professionals!
We are a fast-paced, privately owned pediatric dental practice with a reputation for excellence! We are hopeful that you are a positive, experienced and self-motivated team player that is highly skilled speaking to patients confidently and kindly regarding their financial obligations and working with insurance companies to ensure timely payments. This role is an integral part of the office team requiring strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a dental practice is required
- Ability to understand insurance plans and AR is required
- Experience working with Medicaid is a plus
- Excellent verbal communication and team player
- Passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a pediatric dental office
Responsibilities:
- You will work closely with the patients and Office Manager to ensure patient payment obligations are met and insurance payments are received in a timely manner.
- Verify insurance benefits for all clinical appointments
- Calculate copays for patient visits so front office is able to collect correct amount at patient check-in
- Submitting insurance claims daily with proper attachments
- Monitor and follow up with all claims and outstanding patient AR
- Send pre-authorizations and follow up with patients after receiving them if necessary
- Understanding dental maximums, deductibles, and frequencies
- Manage and understand accounts receivable as well as make collection calls when necessary
Other front desk duties as assigned, but not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Checking patients in/out
- Collecting co-pays, scanning/filing, etc.
- Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal and HIPAA laws and guidelines in regards to patient’s records and information
