What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at Confidential?
We are a very successful and profitable company and participate in both the environmental and the transportation arenas. We have an immediate need to officially add a HR function within the organization due to our continued growth. This person needs to have the professional skill and expertise to complete the HR set-up, operate independently, but still have a true team spirit. This is a true "roll-up your sleeves" role where you will be evaluated based on your performance, success and contribution.
Responsibilities:
- Help support and drive company culture, values, policies and strategy
- Coordinate and manage all recruitment and staffing activities
- Responsible for all employee relations activities including investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions
- Help maintain non-union status
- Ensure full employment and labor compliance
- Ensure COVID and CPP compliance
- Monthly review of bills from medical/dental providers as compared to payroll deductions
- Coordinate Annual Benefit Open Enrollment
- Completion of EEOC reports and AAP
- Responsible for all Onboarding activities
- Maintaining all in-house personnel files for associates
- Completion of Employment Verification(s) and EDD surveys and reports
- Oversee payroll deductions for garnishments and court orders
- Maintain all employee training records to Excel Training Tracker & personnel files. Ensure employees are up to date on their compliance training and notify when employees are 30 days out for their next training date.
- Enroll and add new employees into Safety software for their annual training requirements.
- Monitors, maintains and updates third party audit systems.
- Coordinate events focused on employee engagement and dedication
- Advocate for employee retention and development
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience in supporting organizations with a minimum of 100 employees
- The ability to successfully set-up a human resource function and succeed independently
- Experience in shipping, logistics, distribution, environmental services or manufacturing highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience required
- Experience using ADP - HR Pro
- Experience with ADP payroll systems
- Bi-lingual skill helpful but not required
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Ability to build rapport with employees at all levels
- Strong qualities in leadership, morals, and ethics
