A new manufacturing company is coming to Cumberland, MD at the beginning of 2024! We are seeking experienced painters who prepare the surface of an object to be painted.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Cleans and prepares surfaces to be painted by removing grease, and dirt; and removing rust from metal with blaster, grinder, sandpaper, or wire brushes.
- Applies masking tape or other materials over parts and areas that are not to be coated paying special care to avoid overspray.
- Selects and mixes primer and/or paint to produce desired viscosity/color.
- Pours primer and/or paint into spray gun and connects gun to air hose.
- Adjusts spray gun valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
- Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply primer or finish coat.
- Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
