Overview:
As a dedicated Amazon Delivery Service Partner, we're in search of a proactive and experienced Lead Dispatcher. With safety, efficiency, customer service, and teamwork at our core, the successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing day-to-day operations, maintaining the fleet, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Ensure seamless operations, which includes dispatching, coaching, training, and onboarding.
- Team Management & Coaching: Lead and mentor a robust team, ensuring adherence to safety and delivery metrics. Document all coaching activities using Google Documents and engage in individual discussions with team members.
- Onboarding & Training: Handle the screening, scheduling, interviewing, and hiring processes. Conduct team orientations and in-route training.
- Fleet Maintenance: Collaborate closely with the fleet manager, stepping in during their absence. Oversee fleet performance, manage repairs, and ensure a road-worthy fleet at all times.
- Safety & Compliance: Lead safety meetings, conduct audits, and inspections to ensure all safety measures are met. Emphasize safety standards and ensure compliance with the weekly scorecard.
- Continuous Improvement: Track fleet service and status and share updates with the leadership team. Develop action plans based on safety metrics and research, and implement follow-up assessments.
- Vendor Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with vendors to maintain fleet service. Plan and implement preventive care for the fleet.
- Company Policies: Ensure both employees and yourself are held accountable by establishing action plans and following up on them.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Four (4) years as a full-time manager or team lead. An additional four (4) years demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Driver's license and maintain it in good standing.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with computer-aided diagnostic programs, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Basic knowledge of office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
- Other: Must be eligible to work in the U.S., at least 21 years of age, and demonstrate knowledge in fleet vehicle maintenance and repair.
