Ophthalmology Practice is looking for a front office patient representative for a fast-growing Private Practice. We are looking for the best of the best - bright, energetic, driven to be part of a great team providing front office medical reception and appointment scheduling to improve the patient healthcare experience.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing great customer service in person and over the phone by providing information, this position includes scheduling appointments, electronic filing, operating a multi- line phone system, checking-in/checking-outpatients, verifying medical insurance information as well as other tasks assigned on an as needed basis.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FRONT OFFICE (MEDICAL ONLY).
- YOU MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL (2 locations)
- Experience In Ophthalmology Helpful
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Check patients in & out
- Insurance verification and copay collection
- Confirming future appointments
- Scheduling patients
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
Skills

- Proven work experience as a Receptionist/Front Office Representative
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
