What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Scientist position at Confidential?
We are an exciting new early-stage Bay Area venture supported by leading investors with revolutionary technology for synthesis, assembly and modification of genes and genomes. Founders and Scientific advisors include leading Stanford scientists. The company is currently in stealth mode, and our research and development labs are conveniently located on the Peninsula.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and interdisciplinary environment. You will be part of a highly innovative and diverse team of engineers, biochemists, physicists, and computer scientists.
Current openings:
Biochemists (2)
· DNA handling and analysis
· DNA amplification and conjugation
· Gene assembly
Desired qualifications include one or more of the following:
· PhD in biology, biochemistry, genetics, bioengineering or related fields or a minimum of 5 years of experience (relevant graduate study experience is counted)
· Experience with PCR and DNA amplification, synthetic gene assembly, handling large DNA, pulsed field gel electrophoresis
· Salary commensurate with experience
· Authorization to work in the US
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
