What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential House Cleaner position at Confidential?
Ideal house cleaning candidate is an energetic self-starter who does not require a great deal of supervision. The person in this position will be cleaning the family main house regularly and maintaining two other smaller homes where guests occasionally reside.
During much of the time, you would be alone in the homes, maintaining each for when family and guests come and go, working in conjunction with other staff members on the property. With this in mind, you would need to be capable, trustworthy and have a problem-solving aptitude. We also need someone that is equally comfortable cleaning while the homeowners are present, happy to work in the background while the family enjoys their private space.
Duties:
· Washing windows – interior and exterior
· Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, countertops, and sinks
· Disinfecting surfaces
· Dusting surfaces and baseboards
· Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
· Laundering sheets and towels
· Making beds and changing linens (some ironing required)
· Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces
· Washing dishes
· Cleaning outside BBQ
· Sweeping balconies, outdoor deck
· Gathering and dispersing trash, compost, and recycling
· Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all closets, cabinets, and drawers
· Monitoring household supplies and ensuring that all necessary items, such as cleaning supplies, and household items, are stocked and replenished when needed
· Preparing guest rooms for visitors
· Occasional grocery shopping, meal preparation and possibly driving to and from the airport.

Housekeeper Requirements:
Previous Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a housekeeper, preferably, in a private residence.
Professionalism: The ideal candidate will be professional, discrete, and respectful of the privacy and security of the household, family, and guests. Must maintain professional attitude in all scenarios.
Attention to Detail: The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the home.
Communication Skills: The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively with other staff members and household occupants.
Physical Ability: The ideal candidate will have the physical ability to perform the necessary cleaning and maintenance duties, including lifting and moving heavy objects (such as furniture, approx. 30lbs.) and standing for extended periods of time. Must be comfortable with stairs.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Additional education or training in housekeeping or hospitality is a plus.
Must have reliable transportation, non-negotiable. References would be appreciated. Final candidate will have background check.
