Job Description
The Warranty Manager will manage the warranty team and all aspects of warranty for specific customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regional warranty team (direct and indirect) when applicable based upon regional organization
- Customer negotiations of warranty concern
- Lead and/or consultant for regional plants
- Prepare warranty spending approvals for DOA process
- Track and report warranty regional spending as needed
- Possible Global Warranty Champion for OEM’s located in the region.
- Contract negotiations
- Prior to sourcing
- Support and lead the implementation of a standardized warranty part analysis procedure
- 8D usage for parts analysis
- Database usage for parts returned
- Monthly updated predictions for high impact warranty spending programs
- Lead or support task force teams for key warranty concerns (preventive or active)
- Work with the quality systems on improving data (speed, usage and accuracy)
- Lead /participate in relevant QIT meetings
- Participate in regional quality reviews
- Track all open warranty issues, risks and opportunities and report monthly
Years of Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in Engineering and or Quality (Warranty Analysis preferred)
Degree Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BS); MBA strongly preferred
