Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Functional Workday Analyst to join our HRIS team in Raleigh, NC. The Functional Workday Analyst will be responsible for providing expertise in configuring, supporting, and optimizing the Workday Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to meet the specific operational needs of our mining business. This role requires a deep understanding of HR processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Absence Management, and Talent Management.
Collaborate with HR business partners and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into effective Workday configurations.
Configure and maintain Workday functionality to support HR processes such as recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
Design and develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide actionable insights to HR and business leaders.
Lead testing efforts for Workday enhancements, integrations, and upgrades to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
Provide training and support to end-users on Workday functionality and best practices.
Manage and resolve Workday support tickets in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed to ensure prompt resolution.
Stay informed about Workday updates, new features, and industry trends to recommend and implement continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
5 years of experience as a Workday Analyst or similar role, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
Proven experience with configuring and supporting Workday modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Absence Management, Talent Management).
Workday certification in Core HCM or other modules is highly desired.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Workday report writing, including advanced reports, calculated fields, and dashboards.
