About the role: We are looking for a smart, humble, and empathetic technologist to drive the definition and evolution of several initiatives in the cloud infrastructure space.  In this role, you’d be responsible for leading the charter, roadmap and execution for our core Confluent Cloud platform. This charter includes building and scaling our cloud-scale, data infrastructure which powers customer facing metrics and events, and evangelizing platform architecture best practices. This infrastructure enables critical products like Health , Metrics API and use cases like billing, deep insights and product visibility.  In this role, you will balance strategic long-term thinking with short and medium-term delivery. You will lead our efforts to scale the infrastructure, automate operations, expanding use cases and building out abstractions for data access on top of the underlying data store.  You will be a highly-visible example of engineering and architectural excellence and will help identify and mentor future technical leaders in the organization.  #LI-SD1 Come As You Are At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture.
